Pedagogy of Hope For Global Social Justice
Following Paulo Freire’s “pedagogy of hope,” this open-access volume explores hope as an educational approach to addressing global challenges—such as climate change, racism, and the COVID‑19 pandemic. It presents a conceptual framework for global citizenship and environmental education, authored by scholars across 12 countries. Case studies range from teacher training in Latin America and South Africa to practices of gender equality and digital learning for global citizenship. The book promotes hope-driven pedagogies as a transformative path toward social and environmental justice.
