Multilevel Pedagogical Leadership in Higher Education
This open-access volume provides a solid theoretical foundation and empirical insight into the pedagogical dimensions of leadership in higher education. Framed by Non-Affirmative Theory (NAT), the book explores how educational leadership operates simultaneously across multiple levels—supranational/national policy, organizational structures, and interpretive interactional practices within classrooms and departments. It examines how pedagogical scope at each level is shaped by and interacts with other levels and how different actors exercise leadership across these interconnected domains. Chapters range from global and national perspectives on higher education governance to departmental leadership and teaching practices, culminating in a critical dialogue between NAT and alternative theoretical approaches.
