Vocational Teacher Education in Central Asia
This open-access volume presents a collection of papers focusing on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Central Asian countries. It explores themes including project-based learning; specialized laboratory didactics (e.g., in food technology); the integration of media and digital technologies in vocational training; competence evaluation, examinations, and labor-market alignment; and empirical research methodologies and network-building in teacher education. The case studies draw on experiences from universities, colleges, and teacher-training institutions across Central Asia, illustrating how TVET programs develop teachers' practical and pedagogical skills and facilitate successful transitions into employment
